Croft Mill Interiors

Croft Mill Interiors were keen to promote their new lifestyle and interiors showroom online.
Simply designed, with a fade effect slide show on the home page, a Google map and links to their monthly newsletter (which is a good read!).

The Lord Mayor of York's Valentine's Ball

This site was written to help promote The Lord Mayor of York's Valentine's Ball in February 2007, which raises funds for the Lord Mayor's Charities.
The client required a simple design adhering to accessibility guidelines that would allow users to order tickets online. As the budget was relatively constrained we agreed upon an input page that would print out a form with the relevant details filled in. This could then be sent to the Civic Office along with a cheque for the required amount.

Kudos Exhibitions

Kudos Exhibitions design, manufacture and construct exhibition stands. They came to me wanting a content managed site that they could keep up to date with every new project they work on.
I designed the header and footer template, they then have complete control over copy (with a custom built WYSIWYG editor) and images (with a file management system) in the main body of the pages via a password protected administration area.

Motorsport Loot

Motorsport Loot had an existing site and required some additional functionality and a general design overhaul.
Amongst other things I enabled the display of thumbnails in the listings using a cgi script to reduce the size of the original image and speed up download times.

Springer Spaniel Rescue

This charity take in Springer Spaniels and relocate them to suitable homes. They had an existing site design and wanted to be able to manage the content on it.
I brought the underlying HTML up to current standards and built a content management system that could cater for the gallery and 'rehome a springer' sections. They have complete control over copy (with a custom built WYSIWYG editor) and images (with a file management system) in the main body of the pages via a password protected administration area.

The Tourism Business

The Tourism Business host annual conferences for various aspects of the catering industry.
They come to me to build and host 'e-flyers' to advertise these conferences.

Giddy Kippers

A party and play centre in Lancashire, Giddy Kippers wanted a fun and compelling design for their new venture.
I designed the site around an existing logo, ensuring all relevant information was easy to find.

UK Wedding Group

A 'shopping mall' system for The UK Wedding Group. The project featured a central website for shopping and processing products with 3 smaller promotional sites designed to be attractive to search engines (and humans of course).
The shopping cart application was built for maximum scalability and control, allowing thousands of products to be entered if need be. Categories can be set up which in turn can contain other categories or products. Each product can then be assigned one or more options, for instance a choice of colour, or a personalised message. Shipping costs are intelligently calculated using a rating system. Stock administration is designed to be quick and easy through the use of client side xmlhttp calls, drag and drop sorting and the ability to set defaults for most items. The site owner also has full control over copy and images used throughout the site, a comprehensive backup facility and secure payment processing.

Epworth Hotels

The Epworth Hotel Group required a booking system that could be scaled up for use on newly acquired hotel's websites.
The booking system allows for real time allocations to be sold online, with unlimited room types, allocation and rates rules and a booking history for later analysis. The application is very adaptable, allowing an unlimited number of room types to be allocated for as little as a minute up to a year. Epworth are keen to sell their function rooms online and the architecture is more than capable of doing this. They also have full control over copy and images used throughout the site with a custom build content management system.

The Little Green Frog Day Care Nursery

Search for people you have worked with. The initial phase encompassed the hotel & catering sector. Users log in and give their details and a brief job history. They can then search for and contact other people who worked in the same establishments as them.

Your Car Hire

Search for and book hire cars online. The front end connects to the TourCAT tour operator system, enabling the user to compare prices, select the vehicle they want and book in real time. The administrator has full control over copy and images via content management system.

Kirker Holidays

Search for and book holidays online. The front end connects to the TourCAT tour operator system, enabling the user to build a holiday from scratch with as many hotels, flights, events and connections as they wish. The administrator has full control over copy and images via content management system.
